Terry Nannup Ride
DazzaM, Jusso, Marytn, Pete450, KtmShaun, Twoody plus six other local riders turned up to Nannup for Terry's last ride down this way for awhile. To keep it short it was a top day out. As Pete450 said, we didn't get rained on much which was great. Tracks and trails were awesome and thanks to Pete450 for helping out with leading on the day, and taking us through some new single trails and KtmShaun and Jusso doing sweep duties
We have a new hill climb to add to our list and we're going to call it Tezza's Hill. It pretty much had everyone stuffed. I've never had to push my bike so far up a hill. The smell of boiling coolant filled the air. And now that we know what we are up against maybe next time it hopefully won't be so bad. After a good rest it was back onto familiar tracks and trails. Fenceline hill has lost a fair bit of its challenge as they've sent the grader down to smooth it out, but I'm sure after a few decent downpours it will be back to its usual self again. At this stage, everyone was hanging out for a beer so it was back to the cars. Big thanks to Terry (Twoody) for all the rides that I've been able to do with him, and he is certainly never one to give up no matter how hard the hills or trails may get. I'm sure we'll get to see him back down this way again. Cheers Dazza    |
