The Poker Run

The Crustys carried the flag to the PAR with 5 of the lads showing up. The numbers for the ride in total was 68 from what I hear. My first ride with this group and the biggest group I have ridden with. I was impressed with the professional organisation of PAR and meet the leader of the ride Jason a great fella.
Considering the numbers I was expecting break downs injuries and guys getting lost as it was an entry level ride for big numbers but to my surprise the guys held up well. Most of the big bikes had problems climbing the only hill challenge and I did see a few offs here and there but due to the large numbers it was a slow ride so this probably saved some serious issues.
Hooters was the quintessential gentleman as a leader within the group and Junior only roosted me twice for the day. I did have my chance for a payback but I’m a gentleman :)
Myself and Junior won a prize each at the awards presentation and I ate to many pies and pasties at the Bindoon Bakery story of my life. I knew I was pushing my luck to far on that last hill on the race to the bakery.
To both KTMike and Jed77 great to catch up lads and let’s hope we can get a few more PAR boys to cross over like yourselves and come riding with the Crustys
