Lol Gray ride not lol
Date 07/Dec/19
5 Riders Jack, Jacko, jinxy, MickKal, Tommy
Rider of the day MickKal
Stack of the day jinxy
Mickkal put out a proposed ride he was thinking of starting at the rock inn and going for an explore towards Lol Gray area and back thru wandering for a pint and fuel then back to the rock inn. Should be around 350klms with lots of open back roads.
So 5 riders turned up for what was apparently a straight forward ride to a pub have a drink some grub refuel and head home all through the bush and some farmland back roads what could possibly go wrong.
Well about 55ks into the ride everything went wrong for Jinxy
We think (as no one actually seen it happen and he cant remember anything) he hit a branch across the road that he didn’t see and this bounced him over the bars a bit of whiskey throttle a tank slapper and bang into a tree head first closely followed by his right leg and the bike.

Jackos account of the day
Well what a day,it all started off ok but about an hour in jinxy had a nasty stack and ended up getting choppered out to hospital. Don't worry he is ok,sort of. Being sweep I came across him laying on the track by his bike surrounded by debris. He was in a bad way so we got his helmet off to find a fully closed up black eye and a few cuts. He was a bit out of it and couldnt remember anything. We think he has a broken leg as well. Tommy and Mick went off to organise the ambulance and jack and I stayed to look after kindy. It seemed to take a long time but we were out in the sticks and one ambulance got a flat on the way in. Eventually a medic was lowered from the chopper to help jinxy. Then the ambos came and got him on a board so we could carry him to where the hellicopter had landed in a clearing and he was off to hospital at last. Looking at the scene of the crash it seems that he hasnt seen a log laying across the track and hit it at speed, lost control, fishtailed and hit a tree about 30 meters further along the track.the front of the Africa twin is absolutley destroyed and the tree is not much better so he must have hit it really hard. Anyway mick went and got his ute and we loaded the bike on and got out of there. Got back to the rock in and it was closed again, bummer.

Jack
Hope you get well soon Jinxy, the Africa Twin took one hell of a hit and you must have too.
You dug in deep and made it through. Keep us posted on your recovery and hopefully we can have a beer with you on Saturday night.

Mickkal
Thanks to everybody today, it was a good team effort today by the crusty crew to get Jinxy off hospital and it was a reminder why we shouldn't ride alone. Couple of pics up, bike is wrecked and the helmet is a bin job.

Tommy
Thanks to everyone for pulling together yesterday as mentioned before this is why we ride together in a group and not alone. Mickkal handled the situation perfectly and calmly give exact locations of were Jinxy was and were to meet us so we could guide ambulance to him. With these directions the helicopter found a clearing and was able to land close by and care for Jinxy . While Mick and I were waiting for the ambulance to arrive Jacko and Jack stayed with Jinxy and cared for him by keeping him in the shade and in a comfortable position and reassuring him that everything was under control and help was on its way this is a very important thing to do as it keeps an injured persons moral up and also stops then from going into shock or passing out as I said everyone played there part and turned a bad situation into a good result for Jinxy.
