The Easy OVT ride take 2

Riders: MickKal, Hooters, Todd, Mitch, USA Tommy, XRCass, Michael

I missed out on my own North Dandy ride earlier in the week and Hooters mentioned that he might be keen for a local ride on Saturday so I decided to rerun the last OVT ride with a few minor mods. The gentlemanly start time of 9:00 was selected so we wouldn't get back too early and have to drink beer before lunch. First up XRcass showed us a new track to exit the OVT without having to hit the main road and then we got into it, a bit of tar, then cut behind the ride area and then a a few pine tracks and lots of limestone. Easy going for the most part. Mitch entertained everyone with some excellent monos on his 690 and Michael did a good job of keeping up on the long straights on his two stroke. In the space of 2 months since we last did this ride a large chunk of my pine trails got bulldozed so we had to do some detouring. Towards the end of the ride we hit the quarry's, this was Hooter home turf so he took us on tour of a few hills and a bit of single track without hitting the extreme stuff on the big bikes. At this stage everyone was getting thirsty so XRCass found the most whooped out track he could find to get get us home. On the plus side he did show us that secret quarry with the cool step'ups that I haven't seen before and did a great job as sweep. A no drama ride, beef and gravy roll and a couple of beers. Perfect.
