11 Riders turned out for yet another Lano to Cervantes run. The sky was overcast and with a bit of light drizzle. The rain cleared up and by the time we were on the return leg the track had already turned to dust in plenty of spots.

AT THE OVT IN THE MORNING. ARE THESE GUYS CRUSTY RIDER OR ARE THEY REALLY LIVING DOLLS.

Except for Rob picking a flat and doing a quick tube change, the ride up was pretty uneventful. The ride home however was completely different. The pace picked up it was on for young and old. A discussion back at the trailer could not even decide on a ROTD. Rob, Tiger, Cliff, Howard and Grant were all nominated for different reasons but in the end I gave it to Grant for heading a small group up front at a blistering pace for about 20 K's. Even Brad said he didn't know KDX's could go that fast. Well done Grant.

A NEW CRUSTY NAMED GREG CAME ALONG FOR THE RIDE.

Howard rode hard and fast all day and about 5 k's from the end past me like I was standing still and I recon I was sitting on over the ton. Tiger's riding level has picked up a couple of notches and he showed some good pace as well today. Rob was in his glory riding in the sand. He picked his way through the fast moving a field on more than one occassion and rode even quicker on the final leg. Mind you Brad was right up his arse and giving it big handfuls. Brad tried to take a sweeping bend sideways in top gear and all I could see was a bike sideways with the back wheel locked up. It didn't go bush but nearly came down.

NOW WHY WOULD YOU SMILE THAT MUCH WHEN YOU HAD TO CHANGE A BLOODY FLAT TYRE.

THE MIGHTY CR MINUS A FROMT WHEEL.

Steve525 rode steady all day throwing up some big roost on the Katoom and John525 also rode well getting some good air on some oversize whoops. Mind you John keeping your feet on the pegs when airborn is a good idea. Cliff showed some aggression as well on the return leg passing riders at a good speed even over the rocky sections. Roley did a good job riding sweep, making sure the boys were all intact and moving in the right direction.

A REST TO REGROUP AND CATCH YA BREATH.

A new guy who calls himself XRated and rides a XR400 also turned up and rode with us to Wedge but decided not to do the whole ride and returned to Lano by himself. I'll post him as as rider once I know what he wants to call himself.

THE LADS HAVING A REST WHILE SOME SILLY RIDER ON A KATOOM RIPS UP THE BEACH.

The guys did a really good job with the cornerman system today. Without being asked there were guys at every change of direction. Top job fellows.

HOWARD GIVING IT HEAPS.

THE RIDER OF THE DAY. AND LOOK WHAT MAKE BIKE HE DID IT ON.

There are heaps more pics on the gallery from this days ride.
