The boys knocked up nearly 70 k's in 35 deg heat mostly on goat trails. Orry and Sully know this area pretty well and lead us on a great ride taking us almost over to Metro Road. Pete's GPS showed us less than a few K's from the Metro Hill climb. Both of these guys deserve ROTD but it can only go to one so I gave it to Orry for organising the ride as well.



A WELL DESERVED REST OUT ON A VERY HOT DAY.

Some guys will do anything to pick up an award. Col had dropped his bike a couple of times on a rocky hill climb and was in the running for SOTD. Not to be out done, Clive bought the big 600 down on a corner, hurting is leg and picking up the award. He also came down hard on a log crossing so picked up plenty of points for the award.

Although it was hot it was a top ride. Clive Pete and Colin said that the heat had got to them and by the time they got back to the trailers for lunch were all out of water and completely stuffed. A big drink and BBQ lunch on the new CQ hotplate got all the boys feeling a little better.

After the ride the boys all closed their eyes, bowed their heads and said a few quiet words of prayer. "Lord, we know some like summer but can you bring winter on early this year."
