***Ride Report 30/9/07*** - Report by Pounce.

Choko, Pounce, WRAdrian, Neil, Chris510, Brett, & 2 new guys, Snookie and Tony.

I really wanted to start this report with the words "Choko didn't fall off", and technically he didn't but he did fall over twice, which I suppose is a good day for him.
8 people turned up today for a great ride. The off was at 8.30 after everyone oohh'd & aahh'd at mine and Snookie's virgin bikes. Neil put his hand up to lead as he sorta knew the way to the creek. WRAdrian went sweep again. We headed along the powerlines which were a bit drier than last time with the dust starting to show up in places, but still plenty of puddles. Missed the turn at the end and had to double back a bit to head towards the creek.
We got down to the creek and SOTD has to go to the new guy Tony. He decided to wheelstand through the water, and he made it, but it all turned to shit in the deep wheel rut on the other side. Not a big off but funny to watch from behind. Snookie was having a bit of trouble staying on the sandy bits so we checked his tyre pressure and he had around 25psi in them. Once the pressure was dropped, he said it made a huge difference.
Now the fun begins. Chris510 put his hand up to lead as we were sort of stumped as to where to head off to next. I have no idea where he took us but it was a mix of everything you could want. Creek run, sandy whoops, fast flowing trails, lots of water, some great single tracks and a couple of knarly hills, which thank god we went down instead of up. Don't know how, but we ended up near that huge water hole near where the creek run turns around. For a mamoth effort, ROTD for Chris, it was adventurous and you guys missed it! From ther we rode the fence line and some fire trails back to where we joined the powerlines. All up, we did around 80klm's in 3 hours. It was a short ride but really, really fun.
Thanks to everyone again.
