We kitted up while rod gave us a demo on how to attack berms, the young bloke was keen to go.
Orry lead the guys through the regular rocks an whoops.
Things were going smoothly until the water crossing near the paddocks when some opted to go around. Mario out on the wr500 for the first time in two and a half years didnt come out the other side, mate was he stuck.
Dave had just run in his exc250f and still had his road gearing on so a little team work was needed to see him to the top of the hill. A smoke stop was called for so while we caught our breath rod rode up an down the hill 3 more times to see if there was a hard line to take, i dont think he found one.
Except for a close call by Mario with a couple of quads the rest of the 1st loop went smoothly with orry throwing in a new creek section.
Back at the cars 3 crustys put there hands up to do a 2nd loop over the road. Rod, 80ccdan and orry headed off before the smell of snags became to much to say no to.
It was a good loop and with only 3 riders no cornerman was needed. Orry had a close call with a roo but other than that it was head down ass up to see if any snags would be left but the others had gone when we got back so a cold beer had to make do.
I picked rod for rotd as not only did we have a regular lead and sweep but i couldnt believe how many time i looked around and there he was ready to be cornerman
