Ride Report for Sat 27 Oct 07 from Choko.
Powerlines.

Riding conditions were perfect. It was set for an overcast day to keep us cool and the rain from the previuos 2 nights kept the dust down to nothing.
5 crusty's rocked up and 2 new guys also showed, there was Roccop, Brett, Andrew, Rob g, mick450, peter and of coarse myself (choko).
After a small drama with Rocco's front tyre valve we had set off, we had decided before rocco got there that he would be leading(thanks Rocco) and Brett somehow without discussion became the sweep.
There wasn't any dramas to report in the first hour as Rocco led us to the creek, via a different route but there was the one hill climb that we usually ride down that got a few of us puffing. Anyway we all made it to the creek with no dramas and the new guys said they were having a ball, little did they or myself know that the fun was just about to start.
After a quick break we all started to follow Rocco down the half dried but very slippery creek, up down, in and out we were all over the place. 10 minutes into it i remember riding around the corner to see Roccos DRZ planted into a tree, i didnt see it happen but im sure it was SOTD. After a few more little bumps and falls from all of us Brett was the second victim to hit a tree, it wasnt till the next tree that he realised he had lost his brake lever and without a spare made the rest of his ride a little difficult (you did well brett). Andrew was probaly the standout rider and he gets my vote for ROTD, he just made it all look to easy with his front wheel in the air for most of the ride. The day went on and there was alot more close calls and also the odd bit of roosting but we all made it back to the cars unharmed and with big smiles on our faces. For me it was an absolute awsome ride, with a bunch of top blokes. Thanks to all.
