Ride report by everyone - The report is simply quotes from the message board after the ride - ROTD to Neil for heading out up front and riding hard both loops.

Pounce says "The trails were sublime. Open road, goat trails, fire trails, you name it, it was there. The best stuff was along the old railway lines.
After the first loop (1 1/2 hours) it was hard to imagine how much better it could be. Then the second loop just blew me away. (1 hour 20)
I'm not the best or fastest rider out there (I left in the first pack on both loops) and got passed by a lot of people but it was so well organised, sign posted that you didn't need to ride with a mate as you could find your way easily. Only one off for me at the 50klm mark on the second loop so all was good."

DazZ says - "Top notch ride today guys how good were them tight goat trails!!!!!!Great weather for it to !!
Choko did you enjoy the big mud hole LOL "

Roley says - "Does it get any better! As Adrian would say "thats the best ride I have ever had"! Great camping overnight with the boyz and sharing what dirt biking is all about.

A well run event well done to everyone involved - this is the very reason you need to support RTRA and Pretz to make sure we have these opportunities into the future."

Brian250 Says - Glad you all had a ball. This was the first time I had ridden on this sort of surface (remember I only have 450km under my belt).

I had a ball. Went slow and steady, the little ttr chugged through the mudholes, up the hills and brought me back safely.

I only did the first loop as I got back at 1.25 with only 5 minutes left before cuttoff. I was happy to have got round and had sooooooo much fun without having an off.

It got close at times, the slippery tree , the muddy downhill and the mudhole nearly got the better of me, but due to the 'coaching' i've got from you guys, I MADE IT!!!

Even though I started in the back 25% of the field, couldn't believe that riders had finished the second loop before I finished the first.. Need to work on my speed... Looking forward to next year

Daza says - Yeh, what a day....was i the only one to wonder how id managed to be 2 hrs from perth, yet ride the pouncelines on the 2nd loop!
How much fun was the mud hill climb..best part of the course for me..loads of mud with monster jumps thrown in lol!! Doesnt get much better than that!
Shame most of you wernt around to watch yours truly win in the raffle...$75 gift voucher! Nice!

Did i miss something..did choko have fun in the mud today?
See you in 2 weeks for much of the same ;-)

Pretz says - Easy to see why this event is so popular. Congrats to the T&E Club who have been running this event for 22 years - the experience shows.

A great blend of fast'n'flowing and tight'n'technical trails, all brilliantly signed. Even the registration process was pretty slick.

Now if they can only do something about the inconsiderate a*holes who think 2am is a great time to crank up bad music...

Hooters says - great to see you all at rally, awesome day!! see you at west coast safari ride in two weeks

Howard says - Haven't ridden for a few months and the old bod is paying the price this morning...........

The T & E club ran an excellent event; to organize 400 riders completing two loops of 60+ K's each.........takes a lot of time and effort to cover all the necessary items required. The signs were really well displayed and gave heaps of warning of hazards and bends etc. Still managed to over shoot a couple of bends though - LOL.........

The course had been set out really well to cover a wide range of different terrains but still enable riders of different abilities to enjoy the day. Judging by the smiles all round at the end of the day.......... it looks like fun was had by all........... The weather conditions could not have been better.

Enjoyed the camping on Saturday and had a good LAFF over both days..................

To sum it all up in a word "Awesome"

H

Tiger says - Yep, an awesome event with weather to match.

Pretty sore today .. and that's just my ears after listening to Daza for 4 hours in the car ;-)

Memorable moments ....

Loop 1:
Mr. Maico
Daza and myself had (ahem) some simultaneous issue with our bikes and got passed in a big whoopy section by the 1970's Maico ... Daza using his industry knowledge reckoned it was a 2008 factory KTM with Maico plastics. :-)

Loop 2:
Chokos SOTD
Took off with Pretz, Daza, Roley, & Choko. We all overshot the bend at the end of the Pouncelines. Pretz and Daza took off, Roley took off, then me - and I saw Choko waiting so I waved him on. Followed Choko for a couple of kms while watching Roley up ahead disappearing off into the distance. What's with Choko? He's riding at 20% instead of 120%. Move it on Choko! He rounded a right angle bend, lost the back wheel and did a big high-side, landing hard and staying down. I jumped off and ran over "You ok Choko??" ... "groan" ... "Hey you're not Choko!" ... doh! fooled by a guy riding a Factory Replica Choko bike with matching riding gear. Got him to his feet and his bike, he was okay and I rode off with him saying "Geez, wait till I tell my mates I met somebody who knows Choko!"

Fiona says - Great event, good work by the T&E club as always. Good to see a big turn out of riders, finally a ride where I wasn't the only girl !!! Hopefull we will see a few more members in RTRA after Pretz's speech and Brett plastering cars with membership forms, well done guys.

Took me about half hour to get into the "zone" on loop 1 but once i was there i had a really smooth ride with no dramas, loop 1 ended too quickly and I was fired up for loop 2. After we had to wait till 12.30 to start the second loop, we were off. Back into the it and what an awesome ride. Perfect Sunday arvo, open fast flowing trails with perfect weather !! Bring on Harvey enduro next weekend, hopefully see some crusty's there :)

Neil says - G, day crusty's, glad to hear im not the only sore crusty today. Awesome event for me too, well done T&E club and a big thank you. I'll be back next year. I arrived at the event and found the crusty camp site, when after saying my good mornings H approached me and asked to pair up for the days ride, and then I knew the ride was going to be a quick one.

LOOP 1
We started in the third or fourth group of riders out with some more cq riders. No time to warm up following H, quick pace from the start (for me anyway) and with the hazards and bends very well sign posted I still came very close on more than one occasion. The muddy hill climb was the best part for me too; a bit cautious for the first two jumps then hit the remaining three pretty quick. Before I knew it 60k had gone and then I was looking forward to the second loop.

LOOP 2
Was a bit more open trails, which I do like, it got pretty quick and scary on times with no real dramas though. The day was topped off with R.O.T.D. Thanks Col. See you all soon.

Fred says - Excellent weekend - didnt make the 2nd loop - not sure I would have got back to Perth in one piece! Saw my ass twice on the first - no damage to done other than starter motor which is now clicking & doing f'all else - good thing for the kicker....

Wrex says - Well where do I start.

This was my 13th ever offroad ride and was so much more than I could of ever imagined. 5kms in on the 1st loop I was thinking to myself what have I got myself into here? The big mud climb was something else.
Then I slowly started to let the bike move around instead of muscling it and using the throttle a bit more. The mud and water was intimidating as I had never ridden on it but my new Maxis tyres slowly gave me confidence as the kms wore on.
Does it get better than today Guys? If not I may just well retire with the memories of today Beer in one hand singing cum by ya on the porch.

I improved so much that I was able to overtake Beau and Hooters on the 2nd loop on the inside of a corner. (they were changing a tyre at the time. I'll givem that)HAHA.

I am shattered going to bed for a couple of days.

Bainy says - top ride that adventure rally still can't believe that many bikes exist. Hows was that huge hill climb on the first loop in the clay mud with jumps it was like 4 lanes of traffic awsome would love to do that again.
