Chokos call.

Danny's hill climb - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NObCM8zqs_s Choko called a Friday ride as he was off to Thailand the next day and didn't want to miss out on anymore rides. Ten players turned up all with smiles as they weren't at work. A quick riders meeting with the usual, take care, not a race and Colin off to live in Geraldton. WTF! Off we go down the usual route with no real issues early in the ride. Poor Lindsay came down in a gravel rut going downhill only to find the front mud guard coming off, with two bolts left and rattling loose. DRZ boys to the rescue, taking one of the thousand bolts out of a DRZ and securing the mudguard. Further on bush fires have caused trees to fall across the track, close call with Wrex stopping and DRZAllan sliding in like a baseball player. The dust obscured his vision. Oh yeah it was dusty. At the back hey Pete? Danny came a cropper doing a similar trick to Wrex, when another fallen tree appeared from the dust. Danny did well to go off to the side and miss the tree, nice roley-poley though. Later on Danny ran out of fuel and a regroup was called as we were spread over approx 5kms. Some were feeling sore as Choko threw in a few hell climbs. Towards the end of the ride some took the road back to the cars (girls!) and four finished off the ride. Wrex had a little trouble with the electrics on the DRZ toward the end. All in all a good ride on a work day, even if it was dusty. RTD goes to Choko, well lead ride.  |
