Tommys take on the day.

Meeting at the Lakes was more like a T&E event there were that many riders there and they just kept on coming Pounce was standing in the middle of it all with a look of dread on his face. He must have thought Tumblergum was canceled and everyone with a bike and a trailer wanted to be a Crusty for the day. At 08:00 sharp we left for the parking area on mass once there bikes unloaded and gear on then a even more stressed looking Pounce appeared the lead rider could not get his DRZ started we tried bumping it but nothing eventually Husq Mike got jumper leads and attached them to my Hilux and that done the trick.
We were away on some of the best trails anywhere even with so many riders the dust was not to bad. The pee gravel was as slippery as ever the hill climbs were even harder than usual as you had to avoid rocks ruts and everyone else. We met a couple of MX riders who had run out of fuel in the back of nowhere so we give them some we had one puncture on Rothys bike to fix and I think we were all glad of the rest then the next breakdown was Todd who had an off and cracked his side cover and was losing oil until Mackley fixed it with some plastic metal. This is the reason we all ride together to help out when needed and also to take the piss out of whoever is having a bad day LOL.
There were a lot of other offs as you would expect with a group of this size but nothing to bad as we all finished the ride so no hog award but it did look close at times.
Thanks to Pounce for a great day out and Pete for sweeping.
