Ride Report - Merv's call
Rotd - Not Awarded
Sotd - Steve

Riders Biggles, CRF Michael, Darin, Merv, Mick, Pounce, Steve,Tommy, Roley, Wombat, 2 new guys (sorry, please post names)

Merv prompted someone to call a Metro's - N/B ride, I (Darin) put my hand up. We were lucky to get 12 riders as unbeknown to me, the ride made a very late apearance on the Events Page. Appologies to those who wanted to ride but didn't know it was happening.

The ride was significant in that Roley equaled brother Peter's ride total of 141 (great effort), I am sure they can resolve this major issue privately within the confines of their own family LOL.

XR Chris was a definite, but did not arrive, we later found out that he got lost and had a few issues, well at least you got to hear us Chris, next time you can join us. lol.

We left the cars just before 9.00 and the temp was still 4 degree's, at our first regroup the only conversation was about the cold and a few deep puddles. When we heard that Steve had had a swim, we could all feel his pain, but not enough to let him avoid sotd. colllddddd. Could Steve be a relative of the orange submarine???

We stuck mainly to the tracks that I know, but tried a new option into North Bannister, which left me (as the American's say) a bit turned around.(lost) lol.

Mick came to the rescue with "you want a track, I'll find a track, lets go bush" and we did find a track. Thanks Mick(I think)

On the return journey, I didn't look too much at the GPS and just followed tracks and it worked out ok, we found some really good trails and eventually hooked into the tracks that I know.

We were 1km from the cars, when I took a wrong turn and ended up doing an extra 4kms through Whoop City. BUGGER.

91.7% of the riders had a good time, enjoyed the company, the terrain and conditions, although I did have a few complaints about whoops, rocks, Lack of mud, dust!!!, the tracks I was using, the tracks I wasn't using, did I mention whoops.

The next ride I call will be Metro's to North Bannister via Metro Road, its gonna be a cracker LOL.
