Wombats Metro call.
Metro Magic by Wombat.
Riders: Wombat, KTM Carl, KTM Mic, Russel KTM & Ric. It was a last minute call to do an early morning run to Metro. A late Friday post netted 4 Crusties and 1 newbie. We met at the car park and was ready to hit the trails by 8am. Conditions couldn't have been any better. Rain over the past 3 days and now the sun was shining down on us from above, a true sign from the Enduro Gods! We didn't take any conventional GPS with us as two of us new parts of Metro reasonably well. We did have a secret weapon though, KTM Carl! He has an inbuilt GPS and somehow always manages to get us back onto a familiar track. We enjoyed hammering through the tight single tracks, splashing through the abundance of pothole puddles, negating the rock infested hill climbs and riding the mountainous whoops. Even played the occasional game of "Dodgem" with the local fauna. After about 60k's and 2 and a half hours later we stumbled back to the car park with all of us still intact with no contenders for SOTD. We were keen to kick off the boots to remove our drenched socks and attempt to get some color and movement back into our toes. Some of those puddles just don't seem to have a bottom! The general consensus was that of content for a most excellent morning blast at Metro. Bloody Awesome I say......  Metro Lagoon  Mick making it look easy.
