WRFDave myself and Martyn (new guy) left home at 12:00 to get to the Capel country club for 14:00 to watch the 2nd half or the grand final but by then Collingwood had it in the bag Im sure that made WR Ross very happy.
When we arrived at the camp site brett, CRF Andrew and Wrex were there already as they hade been doing sweep all day and were able to fill us in on the riding conditions which were dry, very dry, sandy, rocky, a pine section, dry pee gravel, and then some tight sections were you can hardly fit your bars between the trees and probably a dit of dust sounds like a standard day out on the trails this year.
Sunday morning started with the riders meeting were I met Merv and Wombat and it was explained to everyone that the weekend was to raise money for the WA junior riders and local charities so well done to the Ironstone club there. The start was to be 2 riders away every 1 minute to help keep the dust down this worked out good the trails were dry and a bit dusty if you got stuck behind someone but once you got past there was plenty of space and dust free riding. The tracks had a good mix of tight stuff then some open roads to get your breath back and then back into the tight stuff again just over 60 klms each loop and as usual the second loop was the best as you can go out as soon as you are ready and there less riders.
Thanks to the Ironstone club for this event and all the people who helped out at it.
I am sure there were more Crustys there than I mentioned if so post to get your name on the report
