A 7.45am start for a hills ride thomas posted and I caught up with him just on time. Husq mike was lurking the other side on the servo and a quick phone call and some recon by thomas and we were booting up. Dave525 arrived direct and the fab four were ready to roll.

Husq mike sporting a new 310cc Husqvana of course and a new helmet cam to catch some action. My stills camera has depleted batteries so hang the phone off the belt.

Straight out onto some single-track action with thomas going sweep and Dave leading. Hes done upto 2000ks this season up here and knows a very good selection. The dust is minimal which suprises me as last week up this way I eat red dust sweeping. Its due to the single track being more covered from the sun and grip is good.

First stop and thomas is gone. Did we miss him, I hadnt seen him for a while. In the distance we can hear a bike coming and sure enough thomas rolls up. Back brake sticking on and had to stop for some bush mechanics. Husq mike provides some trusty electrical tape to hold it together and were off again. Seems to have worked.

Mike keeps waving me through and I think he feels I may be the best candidate for carnage for the new helmet cam. Not to disappoint I get stuck and step off to the right. This is the 5th time on the right, 4 last week (one in the trailer) and the handguard is now truly bent binding the front brake lever. Bit of bashing on the fly and its all good.

Tracks are perfect, tight single track, some water hanging around but not too much, plenty of grip and some slippery mud. Our fearless leader Dave stops half way through a slippery patch deciding to change direction. Stuck he dismounts and starts to pull the bike around only to trip on logs as he backed up. A quick grab for the camera or help camera. Thomas jumps in to help.

Some dust on a few transport sections requires us to spread out or thats my reason as I am now sweeping heading back to the cars.

Got to say if you get a chance to ride the hills with Dave leading you would be mad to miss it. Thomas, thanks for calling it and the every smooth husq mike a pleasure to ride with you all. 68ks total.
