Micks Tyre Buster
Mick called another ride, and as usual it was a beauty. We all headed off not knowing what to expect, except for dust and lots of it. Before long we were into hills, big tall long hill climbs with the usual ruts and rocks, then more and more huge hills. I came across Brynn stuck on one hill unable to get going again and advised him to go back down and start again. On his second go he flew up it like a pro.
At one place micks gps was showing a track but we were trapped by huge granite boulders on the side of a hill and had to go back and around a different way(a nice flat freshly graded track). Some of the guys were running low on fuel and time by now so decided to go back on the road. Seven of us carried on to Toodyay road house for fuel and food while Choko practised his tyre changing skills. He has obviously done it a few times before. We went back a different way and eventually came across some more familiar trails where we were all checking to see if we had flat tyres, but it was just the dry pea gravel. There were a few minor spills, I think Choko had the best one. Cheers for the beers, jacko.
