Awesome ride in the Midwest today.
4 players showed up to tackle the Woodradden Farm pony express.
Wombat, Merv, Tony and Sharky suited up and proceeded to ride the sighting lap to see what we were in for.
What a mixture of terrain.
Tight single track through the scrub, with pockets of bulldust.
Mixtures of moist and dry river tracks with a few woops thrown in. (approx 1287 which might be why Col didn't show up).
Fast paddock trails littered with small rocks.
Mountainous hill climbs with rocky outcrops to unsettle the best of us. (at least 20m high, true)
And then there was those pesky quads kicking up dust screens that were harder to get around than the grey nomads on the Indian Ocean Drive.
Our various fitness levels determined how many of the 30k course laps we did and they varied from 3 to 5.
All accomplished without incident and left us with dusty grins at the end.
