Sand in all the wrong places
I went for an early morning ride with Gavin, the first Crusty ride for me leaving from the OVT for just a short ride through some of the local tracks out past the pine plantations onto a few scrub tracks just so Gavin could give me a bit of an idea where you guys do some of your riding...Although we didn't really know our way around the place it was an adventure just the same..
Poor Gavin got SOTD with no injuries but lots of sand in unwanted places and after a fuel stop and a drink at the servo we headed off to play in a few of the sand dunes towards the coast with a few hill climbs along the way...I fell off on the first one but regained my confidence and had another crack at it no probs...I tried my luck on another sandy hill and third time lucky made it... All up we rode about 115 kms with and good work out on alot of the rises and dips and I can sure feel my shoulders aching now... It was a good introduction ride for me as low grade intermediate but I am looking forward to having another ride hopefully in the middle of next week if there are any gents interested..
