Don't know if you would call it an official Crusty's ride as ended up with myself, Pete & Kyron (who aren't members) and Steve rocking up later in the day at the Kirup Ride Park. We started the day doing the red double arrow loop section and was having a great time with minimal dust and, at that stage, no rain. We got back to the Park just as the drizzle started, which soon turned into rain which then turned into heavy showers. We sat and waited it out hoping for it to stop. Glad I brought the pit tent along. Eventually it did and we decided to do the blue double arrow loop which was very challenging as the rain had made the tracks extremely slippery. Had a bit of a hard time keeping the bikes upright as some of the uphill tracks having deep ruts and the rocky sections being very slippery not to mention the off camber tracks as well, it was very steady on the throttle. Got back to camp and decided not to do that side of the Park again that day. By that stage the rain had set back in so we sat it out, yet again. Once it had stopped, we decided to do the red loop again which was a little bit trickier with the rain and the track being slippery, but being a more open section of trails was easier to navigate than the blue section. In all had a good day's riding and would thoroughly recommend the Ride Park to anyone (we should have a Crusty's weekend there) with tracks there to suit the beginner through to the more advanced rider. There are good sections for the kids to have a go at and Staino is making improvements through the installation of toilets and the future construction of a shower block.
