Maiden GPS Ride
MAIDEN GPS RIDE
Thanks to all the guys that turned up for my first lead ride. 11 riders turned up for a very cold start (2 deg) at lakes roadhouse Drove to parking spot and xr adams 650 refused to start! Tried a bump start to no avail he said just leave me then started next kick whoooo! Short ride meeting and off we go. First turn off and johno ploughed straight into the rear of me,both sliding down the pea gravel road he came off worst doing end-overs in front of everyone haha thought it was all over already! (SOTD awarded) A few new riders today, xr adams buddy on an xr 400 with possibly 25 litre tank!, mirrors and all he managed the whole day with a few offs (ROTD) We headed for a blue line on gps (water we suspect!) Right enough muddy bog just about stopped us all,my ktm steaming like a kettle. Johns berg looking like he'd been through the jungle. Crf jasons gps telling us to go the exact opposite way to mine so were all doubting the way back to cars. Luckily didnt get lost and all made it back to cars safe. Thanks to John for sweep duties (and bravery riding xr400) will post pics when i can :)          |
