A great day of riding for four brave souls... Tommy, Fueltanker Allen, Bunga and FlyanIvan...
It was a gentlemans start out at the Lakes Roadhouse setting off at 9 am.... With Tommy leading the ride we were in good hands for a day of great trails with lots of mud and a few heavy showers just to ensure we kept the dust down...
As forecasted there was light showers off and on with a couple of heavy down pours just to soak us through and make it a touch chilly.... With the amount of rain the night before it made alot of the flat country very greasy and unstable for man and steed...Tommy gave a great mix of hills and creeks to cross with plenty of rocky spots to challenge man verses throttle control...
He warned us about one muddy crossing early in the ride and being a brave soul he went through first.... wrong line and down the nose went into one very deep pool but lucky he saved it and found something not so deep as you can see in the photo...
There was alot of surface water on the flats which made for some rather slippery but fun riding...At one stage Tommy came to a grinding stop with fencing wire caught up in the back brake but with a little bit of surgery we had it out on the way we went...I am sure when he handed over the lead to me for a short blast he must have known how slippery the trail ahead was... With Ivan following behind me all he could see was a trail left by someone with
very little control of his bike..
Only one big hill challenge for the day and I followed Tommys line and both of us ended up half way up the hill with bikes over on there sides....With a click of the electric leg I pointed the Berg in the upwards direction and the little girl crawled to the top at full noise to the delight of a very impressed Fueltanker Allen...
It was a great day with no injurys and a beer thanks to Tommy at the end of the day...
Nice to meet you Ivan and I hope you enjoy your short stay in Perth and get as much riding in as you can...
Once again a big thanks to Tommy and the others for turning up for a fun day out...
Bunga
