Friday is always a good day to go for a ride up north because there is usually noone out on the trails so we have them to ourselves and we usually end up having beers with other crusties that just happen to be in the area and are thirsty.

With all the rain during the week I couldn't wait to hit them sand tracks, I know most people don't approve of the sand but you haven't obviously hit those fresh huge berms after rain, laying massive roost outa every corner it's straight outa dirtbike magazine

Anyway we have a gentlemans start at 11.00 straight away jonos gunna be late some bullshit about not having any front forks , so I arrange to catch up with him at the servo in a couple hours me and Jnr head off
The usual warm up thru the whoops dodge a heap off trees that were across the track from the recent storm
Then into my favorite part the tight wooded area backing the cr into every corner then outa the tight stuff and onto the ridge run can do this section blindfolded just hold it on the whole way across

Then straight passed the servo and onto the special stage it's about 20 k of fast flowing and tight section that's not to sandy
Me and Jnr do it in record time then back to servo to meet the others.
After a bit of a wait they finally get there and were off towards woodridge via the track buttsy showed me that he would use as training for the fink
Long whooped out and very sandy it was definitely a test on man and machine
Anyway it wasn't that long before I feel a change in the front end stop and sure enough I've got a front puncture
I'm running heavy duty tubes and I had about 16 psi more than everyone else
So I whip out me can o slime thinking that this will be my saviour well bugger me it worked and were off again
We head over to the ocean have a smoke brake before heading back
Wasn't long before I feel the front again bugger me I've dine another front

So this time I have to change tubes ever notice how much free advice there is when your dripping sweat over the top of your tire change

Well the boys had a fat ol time at my expense again
But I have picked up some very handy tips along the way
So off we head again hitting the trails pretty hard
Everytime we stopped for regroup the boys would do the ol drinking motion with there arms
Unfortunately for them we still have a ways to go heaps o whoops and sand
Were about 5 k from servo when first bike runs out o fuel
So I race in get some fuel come back and get jono going again
Were all back tothe servo and we take a vote on taking the Tarmac bak to the OVT
Everyone except jono that is apparently not enough whoops for him
We make it bak to the OVT after 130 k of sandy whoops we deserved a beer
While sitting out the bak we see a familiar face leaving the pub not so fast there cass come and have a clenser with us he didn't take too much persuading
And before long cass has settled in so maybe he does deserve a ride point for bench racing alone
