Steptoe & Son
Ride Report, sunday 18th "Woky with Steptoe & Son"
Riders- Mick530, Waynovb, Rob, Todd Mick called a ride for sunday, which suited me, as Saturday work was giving me the shits. As I approached the pub for the 8.00am meet, I see Steptoe and Son with there mate Rob and a trailer loaded with three KTM Sixdays, one slightly used and two newys, beautiful pieces of machinery ready for the sloppy orange mud I see from Rothys photos a few days previous, anyway, we drive to the spot and bugger me theres another brand new Sixdays, parked up ready to fly. Booted up and off we go straight into the single stuff to get the arm pump out of the way early, the tracks were ripped up a lot since I was down there last, but got to expect that this time of year, great riding with massive mud and water and at times more like an Extreme Enduro comp with rocks and exposed roots, not to mention the big greazy hillclimbs, always a good laugh, you could see where the A4DE had been through in places, hard going that would of been, we all had a turn at leading and some huge roosts coming off those new tyres, my body is testament to that, no major offs, which is good going in those conditions, all up 115ks and there was nothing left in my tank or the bikes, thanks Mick for calling the ride and the other boys, great ride ....cheers |
