My first report so excuse the length.

3 out out of 5 rock out to Slades call at the Lakes. We head off in what looks to be a
promising rain out day. Fortunately cleared relatively early leaving plenty puddles, water crossings,
slippery clay and a bust free ride. Robbo has the first off in this slippery stuff. Causing a tiring
attempt to bring the XR back to life. Out comes 'Start ya' Bastard'. And before a short of that.
She gets a heartbeat.
Off we go and arrive at the first hill climb. Hmmm. Slade shows how it is done. I take 4 attempts
to make it up. Roddo's back wheel strongly protests an attempt. So it goes up the next door
climb anyway. After getting that under the belt we are off again.
Come across another super rocking hill. A few attempt by us all and soon decided to have a
BS and Break session at the bottom of the hill.
After that. We head off again. Slade and Robbo take a spin to the Kato. Regroup on respective bikes
and all of a sudden. Robbo's XR is gasping for air/fuel... Of course I get blamed as it was fine
before I rode it apparently... ;-)
After a bit of tinkering we decided to start diagnosing. Came to the conclusion that it must
be a main jet blockage. So off with he jets 'sump'(???? dont know what to call it) only to
fine the jet itself laying loose. LOL Problem solved.. Also discover that the float must be stuck.
Off we go.

Arriving at a bit of a swamp section. Slade and Robbo battle through. I was reluctant at
best but had to get across. Off I go, halfway and for some reason decided to go through a
puddle which ended up being bike deep and SMELLY and hell. Boots water logged and treading
nasty water, 3 of us drag the bike out. Nasty stuff.

Robbo's XR gets sick again. Same problem. Odd one. This gets fixed,,, again, Bike still a bit
unhealthy we decided to take the black top home as fuel levels we playing a role too. Halfway
we stop to do a fuel transfer. But all made it back.

Nice ride, bikes dirty, people hungry but smiling.

Thanks for the ride.
