Ride report - How's the serenity.

No one posted up that they were coming on the run to Moore River - so just the 2 BRP set off on a damn hot/humid sat morning. Hit the first corner and some fool waved us down and said he wanted to tag along ... he was riding a 1979 XT250 made up with a sticker kit to look like a 2012 WR450f and said his name was Eddie something something. No probs - join the pack. Corner man system is a little confusing with just 2 riders anyway.

Tried some alternative routes to the fuel/baconsandwich stop at Moore River. Getting faster now ... about 1.5 hrs 1 way ... smaller group, better suspension or less time spent heading down the wrong tracks - dunno but its turning into a good loop. Weather changes to cool/ overcast and almost looks like its gonna rain. Nice. We try and find some new tracks that we stumbled across last ride. Great up, down, up down with plenty of room to open em up and the occasional banked sweeping bend. Low scrub means you can see around corners - sort of. Shire has been replacing powerpoles so loads of tracks (including several whooped out sections) have been graded to allow access for trucks etc. Lots of firebreak clearing also means many tracks have changed. No other bikes spotted but loads of 4wds near the coast - best avoided this time of year or left to midweek riding.

About 160km all up - no SOTD unless you count Adam losing his footing on the sloped river bank while taking tourist snaps of the picturesque water, wildlife, etc ... How's the serenity ?
