Seven then Five
Ride Report - Seven then Five
Riders Andy400, BK, Darin, DazzaM, GeoffO, Kev, MexicanCRAIG300 SOTD Not awarded. Kev tried to put his hand up for this award, but no blood or broken bones. ROTD Has to go to DazzaM, he drove to Nannup for a Saturday ride, travelled +/- 250kns to get to our ride with his bike not just hosed down but given the full spit & polish. Great effort DazzaM. We had a good mix of everything, including one or two whoops thrown in for good measure. The public holiday plus great conditions, resulted in the area being busier than I have ever seen it, numerous people camping, numerous small groups of bikes, MXers, a large group of bikes (PTS, I think) two large groups of quads. The general public has certainly found out about this riding area. Other vehicles are now a real danger in the area, anyone riding here must be on the look-out for traffic. I usually have a pre-planned route but today just decided to point and squirt, we nearly came unstuck a few times but also found some good new single trail, including a nice gully section on the way back. When I post this ride, I usually say "Easy but long" I think I need to change that to "you are going to be knackered" as we often have guys not keen to face the return journey and taking the bitumen back. A very enjoyable day with a good feed and chin wag at Bannister. Special thanks to Andy400 for sweeping all day. |
