A day in Cyprus.
Players husq mike,gas gas richard,gas gas dave.
distance 140ks.
I had an exc 250 , the others had gas gas 250 and 300.
Two no starters.(which according to richard was probably a good thing)
We started around 9.30 and straight into fire trails.Quite dry and shalely bit like some stuff in NE hills area.
Not much time for a warm up and I suspect they put in a few areas to test skill level.(This seems to be their main problem, in that riders state they are a level 5 and are really a level 2.It makes it difficult to run a tour) Had two goes on one hill,as I under estimated power of ktm.We did quite a few up hill and downs which were quite tricky mainly because of loose shale.The single trail was a classic.Quite narrow and winding and one the side of a mountain.It was a case of "dont go over the edge" it will take a long time to get you and the bike back.
We finished the day off on a recent enduro trail.This nearly was my undoing as the downhill ended in a steep ledge.Richard knew that , but too late for me to notice.With a bit of good luck and dare I say it - ktm suspension, I managed to stay on.We finished around 4pm.Several Carlesbergs later i headed back to the hotel.I have to say it met all the expectations.Richard and Dave know the areas off pat .
All in all a fantastic day.If you ever over here, look up Acclaim enduros.
Cant wait to see the videos.Hope a ride is planned on the 19th or 20th.
