Tommy, WR Rob, WR Ross & Martyn thanks for today’s ride.

Title; 9am Lakes Ride

Nice easy start to the day Tommy called a 9am start, a good idea I reckon, as the 7am start I called two weeks ago had everyone's goggles either fogging up or covered in mist for the first couple of hours, and it was bloody cold, but not today.
Nice easy day with five riders. CM nominated the sweep duties. Tommy set a good pace to ease into things.
Half an hour into it Ross put his hand up take sweep duties over combination of arm pump and not finding his mojo.
First little water crossing three get across okay then we look back and Ross has decided to lay his bike down, must have been trying to induce some mojo or maybe the cold water curse arm pump!!!
The rest of the ride was a good mix of single trails with the odd slippery section to keep you on your toes and open two wheel tracks to have a bit of rest on, as WR Rob has mentioned there was a little bit of dust here and there, but not the not summer dust, need more rain.
No major get offs just a couple of steps off.
At about the 90 odd km mark it is decide to head back to the cars, good call as we are heading it seemed everyone in Perth who had a quad or MX bike was out, so we all took it easy going back to the cars.
All up 102km on the trip meter and back at the cars around 12:30 a good mornings ride.

Only down side to the day was the amount of rubbish some Mungbeam F%$#kwits have left, not only in one location but two locations that we saw. I was amazed at the rubbish left behind. You would think if they take the stuff there they have room to take it back. The worst thing is it will be us bike riders who will get the blame for it.
Apologies for the rant, but we have some good riding country around Perth and certain individuals in the community do not appreciate the beauty of the bush and country we live in.
Thanks Tommy for calling the ride and Ross for sweep duties.

I will try and post some photos later.

CM

Great job today Tommy and the rest of the crew. Nice to upgrade to normal bike from the DT! Haha. Pretty dry out there considering it's nearly the end of July. Even had a small amount of dust in a couple of spots. Let's hope we get a shit load more rain otherwise the season will be over soon.

Catch you guys next time.
WrRob
