Col - So the trick is to call a ride, lead for 10 minutes and then have other guys take over or the rest of the day. As Wayno also said, forgetting you are the sweep and riding in the pack! Jack did a great job throwing his hand up and leading a nice loop and picked up the SOTD award. Tommy was awesome as well but we expect him to be!! ChrisS fond himself wrestling the DRZ and ended up having a nice off with a big roll and being rewarded with the SOTD.

I also thought the trail were smick. It sure proves you don't have to drive a long way to get into some great riding trails. The ride nicely finished off with a beverage and a burger at the Tav.

Jayden -
Col's lead!
Colin called a ride and the conditions were a perfect 10 out of 10. Ironically 10 eager beavers congregated at the carpark to tackle the days challenges. Colin lead us out straight into some serious arm pump action on the Powerline track, no sooner had we settled into the grove of dodging rocks and wheeling through puddles, when a group of 4WD's on a slippery hill interrupted our rhythm. The first half of the group powered up the hill, waynovb got stuck and the rest of us scattered into the bush in all directions like cats knocking over a trash can to avoid rear ending him. A regroup at the top of the hill, then back into more powerline pump arm action.

20km into the ride and a change of pace was well overdue. Jack offered to lead and Colin went on sweep duties through nice slow flowing single track, heading further into the wilderness and finishing off on fast flowing twin track.

Tommy then took the reins and navigated the group up gnarly single trail hill climbs, more twin tracks and then topped it off with superb fast flowing single trail that just seemed to go on for ever. This brought the racers out in us and a few holy shit moments experienced by all. Unfortunately waynovb lost traction on the back wheel and planted shoulder first into the dirt. A reminder to us who saw him crash, that slow and steady brings you home in one piece.

Somewhere along this great ride we also fixed a flat tyre on Jaden's bike, syphoned more fuel in into CRFAndrew's bike recovered Jack's bike from a bog hole and a few secret stacks by some. Great riding by all, thumbs up to Tommy's leading, cheers to Colin for doing majority of the sweeping and again showing us the capabilities of the mighty DRZ'eds

Mick530 - Great ride today guys. Thanks Colin for calling the ride. Cheers to all that rode.. See you all next time. Mick

Wayno - Great ride today guys. Thanks Colin for calling then leading then sweeping then overtaking everyone whilst sweeping (he forgot) then sweeping again. Big cheers to Jack who led a section of sweet single track and Tommy who filled in all the gaps. Good to see WRex back in action and catch up with the boys.

BigVanChris - Many thanks for a great ride today with Colin and all the guys. Great bunch of people and the terrain was awesome. Thanks also to Chris S for tipping me off on The CQ's. Very much look forward to catching up again soon. Big Van Chris.
