A hills adventure ride.
5 brave riders turned out to confront the elements. That was of course as soon as a hearty breakfast was consumed at the Dome in Mundaring. Colin led the troops out with his expert knowledge of the area and combined with his natural ability to navigate kept the group pointing in the right direction and towards the desired location. Nah, it was just luck and somme really good guesses.
We mostly stayed on roads with the the odd fire trail before hitting the powerlines and riding some distance heading towards Collie. Mike took over the reins and we headed south off the power lines with some more good trails picked up heading towards Jarradale. The rain really didn't stop much and vision was a problem but all still enjoyed the ride. We called it a day before we got to our destination of Pinjara but the miserable weather had us on the Freeway and heading homeward. I look forward to the next ride. |
