Petes ride
Pete’s Nannup to Balingup Ride
Riders - DazzaM, Pete450, Jace, Twoody plus two other riders, Jason and Justin. For those that have managed to get down Nannup way and do a ride, you will know what the countryside is like to ride in and this ride was no different. With lots of great single trails and lots of hill climbs thrown in, just an awesome place to ride... Pete showed some of the riding around the Balingup area with some good single trails and some big hills to climb. One in particular, Jace made to the top and then watched the rest of us have few goes trying to get up. The Balingup pub is a nice spot to have lunch and will definitely be heading back there again next year. At some time or another everybody’s bars hit the ground but no major offs, and it’s always a good ride when everyone comes back in one piece. We ended up covering about 150 kays on the day and got back to the cars around 4:30pm. With the tracks out Nannup way, and now with the tracks and hill climbs around Balingup area, next year when we do a camp over, those that can make will be in for a treat. Just remember to bring the pain killers. Thanks to Pete for leading. He did a good job considering that he told us later on in the day that he was riding with one eye closed as his vision wasn’t the best as he fully hasn’t recovered from his illness yet. So we now call him Pirate Pete. Kudos to Jace for coming down for the days’ ride as it would have been a big day for him. Thanks again for a great day’s ride. Cheers Dazza M     |
