Short'n'Sweet Woky Ride

Called a ride for today. Didn't think I'd get any takers given it was Mother's Day but it was good with 4 of us today including a newcomer 2Slow and Jace making the trip down. As the name suggests, the ride was just a short one this morning with the main aim of just doing a bit of exploring on some of the tracks on Big Tree road side, which didn't amount to much as they ended up looping back onto the main track and going nowhere . After spending a bit of time going back and forth, we then headed out on the left hand side of Mornington Road. We could see that the guys had been busy sign posting for the upcoming Adventure Rally, which we followed some of their tracks and did them a favour by cutting the tracks in for them. Looks like there should be some good tracks this year for the Adventure Rally with some new and some old tracks. So after a bit more backwards and forwards and disturbing a lot of kangaroos in the bush and riding up the pipe line hill which wasn't to bad today but the ruts are defiantly getting bigger due to the 4WD 's and their mud tyres, we hooked up back on the main track and headed back to the cars due to this being a short ride. Didn't take us too long to get back as everyone was warmed up and into the groove. So once again thanks to the guys coming down from Perth way, Jace and Dave (2Slow) - he really wasn't! - and Martyn for coming along today. Hope to see you guys back out there soon. Cheers    |
