Leisurely Sunday Ride
Ride report.
Leisurely Sunday Ride. Players: Twoody, Dazza, AndyKtm and KtmShaun. Magic conditions for a quick blat at Woky today. 4 players rocked up ready to get into it. Took a bit to get Dazza’s 300 two stroke fired up as he had not ridden it since Bremer. We got underway and headed for some great single trail. Cruising along nicely with Twoody sweeping. Dazza put in a great loop that saw us through 50kms or so and back to cars. Dazza had to bolt to continue the new house reno’s and Andy was happy to call it a day as it was his first ride back in 6 months or so. Twoody and I decided to hit the other side for another 30kms or so. We cruised some single trail and then found some of the gnarliest hills we have found in a section of Woky we had not been to before. We went down suicide hill and decided to blast back up it from halfway down which took plenty of effort. Glad we only attempted half the hill because just going down the whole way was enough. After this we crossed the creek with tricky climb out and found what looked like a good hill climb. It was a killer with heaps of roots, rocks and turns. I had the 350 boiling but we kept going. Once we were about halfway we had to concede as we were stuffed and the bike was constantly overheating. We met a local who said he had never conquered that hill and that it gets far trickier near the top. We’ll save that for another day. We headed for home. Great day out. Cheers.         |
