Guys, it is Metro's by 1 vote, and the numbers are getting up so its probably better to go to an area I know. Sorry to the Lakes voters, but Metro's will also be good.
Ride at 8.45 (on Sat.)same parking as last time, email me for directions or I will also wait at the intersection of Metro Road & Brookton Hwy until 8.05 +/- 160kms total 80kms to refuel and BIG burger (bring cash)
Sweep,scribe and photographer required
Admin please add to events - Cheers.

DRZ Steve - Go for it mate, you only need to ride at your own pace. If the distance fatigues you, the boys can send you home on gravel roads.
drz steve: It may be a decent ride. Depending on where we go. It could be up to 160+ks.
But you wont know if you don't give it a go!
Metro's.
I never been to Banister by bike

Oh SH*T not another hung vote. LOL.

I'm keen for a ride. I'll vote the lakes as we haven't done it for quite a while.
Can't wait for a ride!!
My vote for Lakes...
Nice one Roley - good to see you're on the mend.
A vote for Metros from me.
mickmoore hope to see you back on the trail in the future!
Still recovering though there's a lot more movement in the knee but no ride for me this weekend!!!!! Have a good one guys and I look forward to the report & photos.
I have volunteered for one of the RTRA projects - hope to see a few CQers involved.
1vote for Lakes!
If we go to Metro's I will probably go to Bannister (much nicer road house)
The lakes will be a shared lead, so may be a little quicker and more structured than I originaly thought.
darin, metro sounds good, i was thinking about .heading over to the pl track
Metro to North Bannister??????
No one calling rides??
I want to ride on Sat. I was thinking about taking a wander around the Lakes area (old section) We havn't ridden there for ages and I have not plotted a route there, so take note, it will be slow!!!
I also do not mind doing another Metro ride.
Unless someone comes up with a better idea I will call it. Post if you are interested and vote your preference of Metro's or Lakes and we will give the democratic process a 2nd chance lol.
Once I know where we are riding I will work out the details.

Call for volunteers for the RTRA ...
For those who haven't seen the latest RTRA email, there's a call for volunteers ...
http://rtra.asn.au/what/volunteer
... the pilot trail at Metro Rd will be an interesting project.
Don't just sit there in front of your computer ... volunteer!

That's no good Mick. Bike has been added to the noticeboard.
Post some photos on the gallery.
(What about the other items on the noticeboard - are they still for sale? 2 x DRZs, CR500, Steering damper ... post if they are else they'll be removed in a while).

Sadly crusty friends, it has come to pass that I wont be able to ride for the next 18 months or more. So, 1 x Honda CRF450x 2008 for sale! Bashplate, Rad guards, ridden but never abused, $7000.
Hopefully when I make another return to riding Legends like Roley, Peter, and the ever optimistic Pounce will still be on the trails!

so yeah dusty back of pack ok tony- your go....!!!!! spewing but tony had good lap so we were into again. caught up and all of a sudden i wasn't racing myself, 2 laps each 3hrs and home was looking good, so we faked bike dramas and bolted... great day no trophy and again many laughs. will be back next year-but with wire cutters!!!

That was some great riding.
Do you know what model helmet cam shot it?
Cheers

ride report kataning, not chasing a point but an amusing day. tony and i left at 5:30 for the 2hr drive to the pony express 3 1/2 hrs later arrived just in time to enter but all good with the very hospitable good ole boys. prologue lap was ok but very dusy... kataning august wtf??? i rode first for team tony/hooters, a grade wanna bees so we rode b grade... after pulling fencing wire out of front wheel threw it on the dirt in disgust only to pick it up with my rear wheel in my quest for a trophy!!! 15min later after even the sweep went past, game on!!
Some nice footage of the enduro. For those who are a bit hesitant to give an enduro a go, it generally isn't much tougher than a Mick450 ride - It just those bloody special test that can be a bit trying.
You da man Brownie.
Being the avid flower appreciator that I am (not to mention my current floral arrangement 101 course I am completing at midwest Tafe college) I will of course be lining up in the old stomping ground to school the lot of you in riding the red dirt.
So There!
Roley - If Brownie comes up with that lame excuse again I'll have to ride Iron man. Merv had no intention of going to Perth for the weekend and is only going for an excuse because he is toooo scared.
Looking at doing the P/E Colin. Heading out there this Wed/Thur to mark it out with Simon. Spent last Wed checking the place out and finding some loops. Not going to comment this time on lack of dust as Leighton Station was dusty by the time the event was ran. Wild flowers are in full bloom out there for all you new age metro sexual guys (Brownie).
Sorry Col I'm in Perth next weekend.
