Andrew - I live in Bassendean and I'm looking to car pool to North banister. Iv'e checked on the map - its about 60 k's out of Armadale. My ute is a bit of a jlopee so yours would be better. Give us a call at home 93783398 or mobile 041 7786 584

H - You're a cracker! No, the 640 is not a loaner! I have been offered a KTM 690 Rallye and would have to sell the 640, the 450, the camper and everything else I own. (Anyone looking for wife?? I might become single very soon! Ha ha).
You can hire a full support "Safari package" from GHR Honda for around $20k which includes a 450 Honda (I don't know how many top end rebuilds you get with that), full service, etc.
My 640 plus entry would cost you about the same in full Safari spec. (I haven't added it up properly yet but it will be getting close to owing me that without the entry). Safari is not the cheapest sport in the world.
Keep an eye out for a new event, possibly in 2009, tentatively called the "Yilgarn Rallye". This will be a two day navigation rally made specifically for enduro type bikes with maximum 100km fuel distances. Total distance 800 - 1000 km's. Based out of Southern Cross. I'll keep you all informed as I'm on the management team. There'll be a web site set up at some stage. (Anyone keen to get involved in establishing, hosting and maintaining a site for us?)

Andrew its 1 hr past Armadale if you drive slow like me :) The Servo stands out like the balls on a dog :) You will have no problems seeing it.

JB – Are you into loaning bikes out now? What’s the deal with the 640? Not sure if I would be comfortable with the extra cubes and weight on the 640 but can you give me a call on the mobile.

If it's the Oregon Scientific ATC 2K helmet camera, I can probably do you a great deal on these via Newlite. They advertise them in ADB magazines and I sell their BikeHaulers for them over here in Perth. They did offer to supply them to me for sale here so I can probably get them at a good price. They gave me one to trial and I have played with it a bit. Hoping to use it on the Australasian Safari in August.
BTW - anyone interested in a fully set up KTM 640 Adventure for the Safari? Too many "special" extras to list.

Brian - The beds in the dorms are fine - just take a sleeping bag however after bed time guys keep walking in to all hours pretty pissed and waking you up and of course there is the snoring.
you will find the Crusty's camp - look for the rear window stickers!!! We will try to get a big spot so we can all camp together and yes there is usually a bloody big fire to sit around. I'm getting excited already.

I'll be at the Rally for the training day on the Sat. They provide a 'bed' included in the price.
What do you guys who have been down there suggest, their 'bed' or bring my own tent.
Will Crustys have some sort of display/signage...
Is there a particular area that Crustys will be using for their tents?
Cheers

Andrew and Beau, some really good footage of the hillclimb attemps and really enjoyed the giggles when you stacked it, but what really peeved me was the number of blue bikes lying around like scrap that could not make it.....common boys, I believe we need to make a concerted effort to put the record straight, what do you say!!!!

Choko the 2 pin USA plug will fit our sockets you just have to twist/bend them with a pair of pliers. They come as 2 Parallel pins eg II After bend they look like /\
I have done this to at least 5 electrical items i have bought off of ebay from the states no issues.

Considering the bolloks car salesman speak..even they couldnt come up with any more redeeming features than a radio cassette player..which, i dont believe you can buy tapes for anymore! Quality marketing at its lowest! They forgot to mention black tyres..or steering wheel...or even the fact it has an engine!

Good work TigeR in giving the old CQ site regular oil changes. As you can tell I sure never expected it to get so big, hence the code was not really optimised for such a large number of players.
Keep up the good work!

Intro board update is fixed. :0)
I think KiwiChris scared 'em off 'cos he was so quick, or maybe it was me 'cos I was so slow.

Mick450 - CRFMichael is ready to go. He can use the standard startup password then go and edit and change to his own. He won't appear on the intro baord until Tiger sorts out a little problem.
Still have not heard form the other two new guys??
