Report by H

Two players that missed the previous days ride ended up going for local ride, neither had GPS's and could only remember the tracks around the CQ playground. Set off early doors with two WR's on the back of the Ute, couldn't believe the fog that was around that time of day as you could only see three lampposts ahead.

After a quick trip to McD's off we were again, just before we got to the usual parking area the fog cleared - Brilliant!

It was still overcast and cool but that didn't last for long.

Ended up at the Alkimos sands in no time at all as there was no 4x4's or other bikes around. The heat rose sharp as we both looked like we'd been for a swim with full riding gear on. Tracks were still dry, with the sand like powder (Bring on the rain).

Craig stalled his bike and took a while to start it up, then off again, looped right around the back paddock on the wider trails then back to the sand pit for a quick blast, ended up talking to a few riders that had come up from Freo (more blue bikes with magic buttons!)

Rode the old time trail section towards Quinns and back, riding the long way round running parallel with Pippi Rd. The WR started running like a bag of spanners before I realized fuel was low, hit reserve then all ok again with not much fuel left it was off back to the ute, Craig ended up on the road section taking it easy and saving fuel.

Had a good days riding but both were knackered due to heat (Probably could do with being a little fitter!) No crashes and back to base in one piece.
